How to start a process mining project?
When you start a process mining project in an organization, there are certain requirements
to be met.
As you have heard previously, process mining in theory seems very simple.
You take an event log, you deploy a process mining software and your process is visualized.
However, in practice there is a bit more to it.
If you want to apply process mining in an enterprise setting, this has to be approached
as a project with a holistic perspective.
What does that mean in your opinion?
You have to be aware of how the different parts of the organization are affected by
the project and how they need to be involved.
Data is certainly an essential part as well as the tools, but they don't make a process
mining project yet.
The success of a project is mostly based on the project members as well as the project's
objective.
In the following sessions we will discuss the requirements for a process mining project.
And namely we will talk about four dimensions.
The objective of the project, the required data, the process mining software and the
involved people.
You will understand why each of them is essential for the success of your process mining initiative.
Join us now on our adventure through applied process mining.
