dear students dear colleagues dear FAU family members on

behalf of FAU University Board I warmly welcome you

for the winter semester in particular I want to welcome all the

first year students dear freshman we want you to feel home

at FAU and I'm sure there will be many questions and problems

to be solved but together we will tackle all these and solve

these the upcoming semester will be an hybrid

semester hybrid semester that means we will offer online lectures

as many as required but we also will allow for face-to-face lectures

in our lecture halls at the university this is quite demanding because we

all do not know how the corona virus pandemic will develop over time

so we have to have quick decisions and things might change overnight given

the experience of the summer semester and the brilliant support of everyone our

admin people our researchers our professors but also our students I

know that we will solve all the upcoming problems easily and

fast to make sure that you will get the quality of

education that you expect from FAU
