The video shows the extraction procedure of nanoplastics using the functionalized superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles.

A dispersion of the nanoparticles is added to the nanoplastics contaminated water. The mixture is shaken to allow the particles to interact with the nanoplastics.

Subsequently, a magnetic field is applied to collect the particles and with them the nanoplastics.

The second vial serves as reference. It contains the same amount of nanoplastics as the treated sample.
