what separates us, dear sisters and brothers.

And I also wish you to feel something of what happens to commitment and love,

what we want to let you get in your grief.

I warmly welcome you to our annual event at the Institute for Anatomy.

Today we hold this mourning party as a memorial and honor to our deceased.

I especially welcome the Medical Corps under the leadership of Dr. Havla, who make this celebration musical.

This musical design is a special thanks to the deceased, who have made themselves available to the teaching and research.

Today we want to honor the deceased of the last two years, who have made their bodies available to the anatomy.

The University and the students are very grateful for this.

We express this gratitude in this celebration and we say goodbye to honor our deceased.

Today we want to hold this mourning party here.

Later we will be at the Central Cemetery with relatives who want to contribute to the funeral.

For you as a relative, this celebration makes the death of a loved one even more obvious.

You feel grief and pain again.

But this celebration is also a space for a good memory.

So we invite you to remember the good things you have experienced with your deceased.

Because these good memories are precious and they stay with you.

So we want to start this celebration in the faith in God, who takes the deceased and accompanies us on the path of our life,

in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

And so let us pray. Almighty God, today we step in front of your face to honor our deceased.

Grief, doubt, loneliness and loss become aware again.

You cannot take away our grief. But we are allowed to believe that you are holding us in your hands.

Give us comfort and lead the life of our deceased to the grave, with you in your kingdom.

That is why we pray through Jesus Christ and his Lord. Amen.

In the Psalms of the Holy Scripture, the Israelites expressed various moods and situations, life situations.

And a psalm that expresses that God is with us is Psalm 23.

And I would like to present it to you today.

The Lord is my shepherd. Nothing will be missing.

He lets me lie on green oaks and leads me to the quiet place by the water.

He fulfills my desire. He leads me on the right path, true to his name.

Do I have to wander in a dark gorge? I fear no evil.

For you are with me. Your stick and your staff give me confidence.

You cover the table in front of the eyes of my enemies.

You spray my head with oil and you fill my cup with light.

You will follow me all my life. I will live in the Lord's house for a long time.

Glory to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, as in the beginning, now and forever. Amen.

And we hear a reading from the Old Testament.

It is found in the book of the preacher Salomo in the third chapter.

A man has his time and all things have his hour under heaven. He has his time to be born, to die, to plant, to tear, to break, to build.
