The backaction on a system’s state, following a quantum measurement, may be harnessed to steer the system towars a desired, target state. I will explain the difference between blind steering (the steering protocol is predesignated) and active steering (the running protocol depends on the readouts of earlier measurements), and compare their efficiency.

QuCoLiMaTalks are the weekly seminar of the collaborative research center TRR 306 QuCoLiMa (Quantum Cooperativity of Light and Matter). The talks are given by (external) experts, whose research falls within the scope of QuCoLiMa.
