Welcome, dear family Zenz. Welcome, dear guests.

I am pleased that you have come to the Cross and the Cross

at the introduction of the Chancellor.

The name of this house is Cross and the Cross

because the house as a church has the same foundation

as the bowling alley that surrounds it.

And that is how we understand this house, the church.

It belongs right in the middle of this social space.

It is nice that you are here.

I say this because I am pleased that your introduction is here.

When I was thinking about the renovation of this house,

I talked to your predecessor.

He said that it might be worthwhile for you to do this.

I don't have the building management in my university anymore,

but maybe we can work together from time to time.

Then I talked to your predecessor when it was in construction,

who said, great that you are rebuilding it.

I don't have the building management in my house anymore,

Dear Mr. Zenz, you can be sure that I am not asking you

how you have the building management.

We can work together.

And that the collaboration between the Evangelical Church

and the university can be useful sometimes,

I see that every Sunday at the church service.

The Neustädter Universitätskirche was built with its empires

free-floating.

Only when the university was built,

that we could put wooden columns in there
