The FAU Awards are not losing anything to their attractiveness.

It's always a great evening.

This wow effect is always there.

The FAU is so big, so broad and as president you have

of course the opportunity to look into the different facets, to get to know the different

specialties and then to see here how young scientists

how teaching concepts

how life experiences inspire and above all also change the FAU.

That's a great feeling and that always makes me very happy and then I say,

it's worth it to stand up for the FAU every day and work hard.

I am aware of what appreciation that means for me.

So I really enjoyed myself and

I am very happy to think back to the time when I worked with the university council for eight years.

I am really proud of this award and for the past 20 years we have been very connected

in this FAU community.

It's very special to me.

I am very proud and I was very happy about the Laudatio award from Professor Honegger.

I think that was a wonderful evening.

I am of course happy about the award,

but it was really nice to hear all the other award-winning people's speeches

and to connect with so many people.

That was really great and I was very happy.

For me today the highlight was the medal of merit for Ms.

Renate Wittmann-Sterzel,

the first female vice-rector of our university and she made very important

steps for our FAU and the FAU would look different today without her work over 40 years.

It is of course a great honour for me.

It is always a pleasure when you get

feedback from the students that the teaching is coming along well and that is why it is of course

a great honour for me to be here today and to be able to take this award for the

Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences.

I am very excited.

I am especially happy that

there is such a prize that the teaching is awarded in this form

a good teaching is awarded

for such a prize, it has been at the FAU for 10 years and I am of course very happy that this year

the award would be shared with me by my students and colleagues who have nominated me.

I think we really have a very innovative teaching concept. We try different

concepts, be it really chat GBTs that we use as tutors,

different teaching concepts

up to live coding sessions in air

to convey different aspects of the

statistics and also to teach the students and I think the essence of these

different things is then probably the reason why I got the award.

I think what the students especially appreciate about me is my especially interactive teaching.

With me, the students are always in focus, not myself. I am not the entertainer who

wants to do his show in front of him. So I always think about how the students can actively
