Do you speak on the GIGGEST where about to begin our open seminar and please be informed
that we will start recording the session.
The video on the seminar will be posted on Fowl TV later and we hope that participants
have no technical problems and that everyone can hear us and see us well.
Great.
It is a pretty Alexander University of London, New York and the Fowl Office of the European
Engineering Learning Innovation and Science Alliance in the framework of our Pact for Ukraine
project.
Welcome our partner universities in Ukraine, representatives of this universities in our
open seminar entitled European Joint Project, finding partners and funding sources.
We assume that most of participants in the room today are familiar with the objectives
and activities of the Fowl Pact for Ukraine project.
And during our cooperation with representatives of Ukraine in universities, we have reached
an understanding that the seminar on the European Joint Project is in the special interest
for Ukrainian partners.
And so today our honored expert, Dr. Tobias Klima, who coordinates and supports joint European
proposals at the Fowl will introduce Eliza and put focus on general EU initiatives,
finding partners for cooperation, funding sources and other issues.
We are very grateful to Dr. Dobias Klima for his time and the willingness to share his
experience, advice and to give our Ukrainian partners recommendations.
First of all, I am going to give your brief introduction to our distinguished speaker.
Dr. Tobias Klima has brought scientific experience and background in engineering thermodynamics
and at the same time he is well experienced in successful project position in the European
Union's program and organizational of multinational consortium.
Dr. Tobias Klima, presentation will take around 60 minutes and then we will have a question
for the QA session. So if you have during the presentation questions, please put them in
the chat. And after the presentation block, Dr. Tobias Klima will have a time or reply
to your questions. And so Dr. Tobias Klima, the floor is yours.
The inviting you.
Thank you so much for the kind introduction.
Thank you for bringing me this option to present some European funding possibilities to our
Ukrainian friends. I am allowed. I would like to share my screen.
So I am not mistaken. You should be able to see a presentation now.
Yes, I see.
All right.
This is it.
Yeah. Thank you very much.
So yeah, we will talk about European funding options.
And I will start out with the usual European programs, which will largely focus on the cooperation
programs of Horizon Europe, which is the largest funding line that the European Union has
to offer right now. And then I will tell you a little bit about our university network we have
here, or FAU as part. And also K&U, for example, is becoming a social department.
And we can extend some contacts.
So first of all,
overview on European funding in general.
Just to clear this out, Ukraine is associated with Horizon Europe as it was before with Horizon 2020.
That means that Ukraine in partners can fully participate in projects and can receive funding from projects under this program.
And also goes for a number of other programs, but not every single one.
So whenever you are invited to become part of a project, it is important to check which funding program it is.
For Horizon Europe, you're always eligible for funding.
