So then there will be three more lectures in this course.

And in this final part, I now want

to get as announced to introducing one

of the existing Python software development kits

for existing quantum hardware.

And so in doing this, I want to start today

with a brief overview of the hardware that

is being produced or developed today,

and mentioning which parts where cloud access is offered

so that one can play with it, and where this is about

to come within the next year or two.

So the list that I'm going to present

is, of course, by no means a complete overview.

But it just mentions some examples.

So OK.

The title here should be in true.

OK, so the situation is quantum computers are being developed.

And of course, there is a question

of how one can use those who are around already.

And this means you need some software interface,

so a means of coding commands to tell the quantum computer

which gate to execute, and which measurement to perform,

and so on.

And many of the companies and publicly funded efforts

offer a cloud access together with some Python API

to do this.

And a bit of an overview or some examples

of where this is available are the following.

So I have grouped this according to platforms.

So the probably largest is superconducting qubits.

And IBM has really started this.

So their Python API is called Quizkit.

And they actually offer free access to devices

that are up to 24 qubits.

You just need to sign up and can use this.

For Google, the Python software is called Cirque.

And there will be a restricted access for partners they choose.

So basically, this will run that one

needs to send in an application.

I want to run this and that.

And it's like a grant proposal thing.

And there will be an evaluation committee that

selects which one of those to run.

Then one of the largest startups by now,

Rigetti, also has their own Python interface,

which is called Quill and Forest.

And they now offer free access either directly or via Amazon

web services.

And here in Europe, more particularly in Germany,

there will be OpenSuperQ.
