I'd like to warn our online audience who I can very much understand with the good weather

doesn't want to be here.

If physical attendance goes below three, which is not today, I'm just going to assign the

end of things and then I'm perfectly happy for you to watch last year's video.

But I'm not going to give a talk then.

Okay, so first thing about next week.

So you may remember the Wumpa's World.

A running example we've used quite a few times.

You may also, if you've been here, last semester we had the Kallat Challenge.

Who of you participated?

You probably had fun, right?

And I'm sure you've learned a lot that you didn't learn from me by doing my song and

dance and trying to explain.

So every semester we have a challenge.

This semester we have the Faolumpus.

Don't mind the name, it's not great, but it kind of shows you what's there.

It's essentially very similar to the Wumpa's World.

Slightly bigger, slightly more features.

You can not only get the gold, but there are sights to see and there's water and greenery

and all of those kind of things.

And they tell things and so on.

This is a partially explored Wumpa's World.

We can have all kinds of difficulties.

You can basically use anything in your repertoire of things you've learned in AI 1 and 2 here.

It's technically going to be administered as a regular homework, but we'll count it

towards the bonus points.

I can give you 10% of the bonus points, up to 2% are going to come from this.

We will give you all the details by mail or by the assignment.

Next week the lectures are going to be cancelled so that you have time for participating, which

also means no quiz, which gives you additional time.

You can basically use any programming language and any technique you want for solving the

problem.

Essentially the Faolumpus world lives on a server.

There's a protocol for talking with the server.

There's a Python implementation that gives you the protocol, essentially.

But you can use whatever you like.

And of course, here is last year's Faolumpus.

We have various agents, maybe this one.

This is one of the more interesting ones.

You can see what's going on, you can see what your agent does for every run of your agent.

Every one of your agents gets a run and you can analyze what your agent did.

This agent in this run basically knows about things like water and mist and stinks.

There's probably a Wumpus here and so on.

There are certain sites that give you points.

And if you make it with the sites out of the Faolumpus map alive, then you get a positive result.

If not, if you die, there's a zero.
