advance. I cannot be here. But the rest of the time I will be here and giving this lecture

short about me, just quickly what I'm doing actually. So I'm heading the computer vision

group of the pattern recognition lab at the FAU.

I have four main topics I'm researching on.

The first one is document analysis.

So for example, writer identification, or OCR,

handwritten text recognition.

All that we are doing in the document analysis.

Then also art analysis.

These are corporations often with, for example,

with the Germanische Nationalmuseum.

And currently we have a project, the Odoi Roper project,

where we try to get smell occurrences in artworks.

Then the third project is about glacier analysis.

This is in cooperation with the Geography Lab.

And there we are, for example, segmenting glaciers.

And lastly, a cooperation with the Helmholtz Institute

in Erlangen analyzing solar cells.

So if they are broken, and can we maybe measure already

in advance how long will the solar cells survive?

How much energy will they output?

So this is just some glimpse about myself.
