Dear guests and members of the faculty, we, graduates, are very happy that you have all

come here today to celebrate the completion of our 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th year of study

of human medicine with us.

And we are particularly happy that this hall is completely sold out with 674 guests and

that we are holding the biggest exam celebration that the medical faculty has ever seen.

Dear graduates, I would like to congratulate you on your successful completion of your studies.

I hope that you have done all of this after 6 years and not after 9 years.

You may now stand before very exciting questions.

Should I stay in clinical medicine?

Should I strive for a big house, maybe a university clinic?

Should I go to a smaller house?

Should I go into research or even industry and leave clinical, practical medicine?

I think, no matter how you decide, I wish you a good hand and good luck on this path.

It is important that you enjoy your job and that you carry on.

I wish you all the best in this regard.

We will have to have changes and we will have to have changes.

And that is also an opportunity.

An opportunity for improvement and above all an opportunity for cooperation.

And I would like to encourage you to do this.

Take part, get involved wherever you may be.

In your professional association, if possible in your association, in your state doctor's

chamber.

Do you see this funny story where the Hacke Valley threatened his boss with a gun and

said he wanted to become the chief doctor.

He failed grotesquely and Hegemann had the opportunity to develop his own profession

and his own personality in Erlangen.

He has used his profession very much, Mr. Hegemann, and he has proven a virtue that I would

like to show you.

In such a critical situation, he was threatened existentially, that he kept a cool head.

And that is a property that is often expected of doctors.

I thank you.

Hallelujah, hallelujah.

A statement of this improvement or the attempt to improve is that we especially honor those

who have been particularly engaged in the last summer semester, maybe entertaining, innovative

and therefore served as role models for the students.

So, dear colleagues, ladies and gentlemen, we now come to the central and most important

point of the program, we will now call you in groups in a row.

The names will be in this beautiful PowerPoint.

PowerPoint is a really brilliant story, helps a lot to keep things a little bit in order.

As a member of the medical profession, I solemnly pledge to put my life in the service of

humanity.

The health and well-being of my patients or my patient will be my top concern.
