I've hit record now and I can then also share my screen.

Do you see the intro slide?

I still need to get my things in order.

Okay, excellent.

So AI2, we'll start with administrative things.

The first one is prerequisites.

I have a different set of prerequisites this semester.

I'm still assuming that you basically heard the mandatory CS courses in the first bachelor

semesters, but kind of the things that are going to play a role are a bit different.

So if you have some exposure to probability theory, that's certainly going to help.

I'm going to go through most of the things you know, but as always, hearing something

a second time is easier than hearing it.

The first time, I'm still going to require some very elementary complexity theory, so

big O and stuff like that.

And of course, I'm going to assume that you've heard AI1, because this is a successor course.

But these prerequisites you should probably take with a kilo of salt.

That's what I assume you know.

But very often, this dependence on AI on these is kind of partial and in spirit.

So you don't have to have heard those kind of courses, but if you don't, you should probably

hunt the prerequisites down, read up on them, and see that you understand what we're talking

about.

That also goes if you don't remember, say, complexity theory, then just basically read

up on the necessary stuff.

The real prerequisite is that you're interested and you're willing to work for AI2.

AI2 is a non-trivial course.

So you'll need to work, be interested, but if you're interested and you're willing to

put in the work, then it's doable, or it should be.

If you have problems with the prerequisites, talk to your TAs.

They can give you advice.

By the way, as always, please ask questions if you have any.

Otherwise, I'm just going to go on.

Right.

Grading.

The grading will be the exam.

It will depend on the exam, that's going to be like last semester, a 90-minute exam directly

after the courses.

The date I have here is still wrong because I didn't have time to regenerate.

So no, it's actually correct.

I did time.

It's somewhere around July 20.

So it's usually on day one or two in the week after the courses end.

And that just happens to be around July 20 this year.

The retake exam, which is almost exactly six months later.

We're going to give you a mid-semester mini-exam, which will be corrected, but you're not going

to get any bonus points on that.

It's just basically so that you can see what the exam might be like.

I'm hoping that Corona will almost be over or at least lessened around July 20.

We don't know.

So there will be a big exam in presence by all I've heard, just like the last one.

There will be a grade for the exam.
