and

And with that, hello and welcome to Erasmus Info Session. Today it's about studying and about the practice,

although I only study and study in Europe.

That's why the other slides were created with the help of my colleagues and especially my colleague Peter.

Just so you know. If there are any

views or audio questions, please let me know.

First of all, I would like to introduce what the basic principles of Erasmus are.

What is it in general? What can you do with it?

And then I would specifically talk about studying and practicing.

I have paused this on the website of Erasmus, which is quite boring and trivial,

in case you were not familiar with it.

The Erasmus program is simply a program that is funded by the EU.

It is funded by the EU. This actually follows the goals of the EU,

so politically, socially, whatever.

And Erasmus can support you in various areas.

That means it also supports youth groups, sports groups,

but also you in your international stay.

And the program is always set up every seven years, so to speak.

That's why it was called a hundred years ago Socrates, then Erasmus, now Erasmus Plus.

The Erasmus Plus generation, which goes from 21 to 27,

specifically focuses on social inclusion and on topics such as green travel,

generally the environment and the digital world.

For you, especially now, of these areas that are being funded,

the university education is of course interesting, and we will go into that today.

First of all, what is possible with Erasmus?

Many people don't know that. Many think, okay, good,

I'm going to do a little party abroad semester, I'll come back.

You can also study properly with it.

First of all, secondly, do a internship.

With the study and with the internship, the main difference is that you have a very solid system when you go to study, so to speak.

Of course, there are always deviations, exceptions, whatever.

But with the internship you actually have to show a lot more of your own initiatives.

You can, for example, apply for the internship with a lot more partners.

It doesn't necessarily have to be a partner university, especially.

It can also be other universities, it can also be companies in the partner countries.

That's all possible, but you have to look for the internship yourself.

That means nobody goes to you and says, hey, don't you want to enter the internship?

No, but you have to apply for it yourself.

And then you really only apply for the Erasmus scholarship for your internship, so to speak.

How long is the Erasmus stay possible? Many people don't know that either.

I don't want to tell you that, so you can go out in the bachelor, master and PhD for up to 12 months.

No matter how you put it all together, you can go out two or three times if the stay is short enough.

You can mix study and internship together, that's all right.

The only thing is, in the state exam you have 24 months to go abroad.

I have, for example, a good friend who studied medicine.

I think I was in Turkey, in Madrid and in Uruguay, at various bank houses, for example, 24 months in total.

And I really used it up, it also helped a lot for the work now.

The minimum period of the scholarship is only 60 days.

Everything that is under 60 days, if not, there are now shorter programs, they are called BIPs.

But we are a little behind in putting it all together.
