My name is Anna Vogel and I work as a researcher for the Innovation and Learning Institute.

With my colleagues and our research assistants I mainly responsible for Strudel.

First of all I would like to present you the agenda for today.

We will shortly give you some information about us and the Innovation and Learning Institute.

And then we would like to tell you what Strudel actually is and what do you use it for.

The lecture will take place in such a way that my colleague Manuel Kirsch and I will present alternatively.

So first who are we?

The Innovation and Learning Institute or short ILY is an institute for scientific research and the center for e-learning at the Zyglick-Alexander University at Anglenörnberg.

As a part of the faculty of philosophy.

An interdisciplinary team of around 30 scientists in the field of the humanities and technology,

knowledge sciences, research and develop digital media supported learning methods for people around all age groups from school children to seniors.

And together with a large network of European and national partners the ILY realizes relevant projects.

And offers services consulting and know how to transfer.

The ILY is a long established institute that was founded in 1975.

And it was one of the first to address the issues of remote and stability.

And now I will hand over to my colleague Mr. Kirsch.

The next topic will be what is STADON actually.

And STADON is an acronym first and foremost for the German term Studium online, which just means studying online.

And it's a license free online platform for members of the FAU.

And the STADON team consists of computer scientists, detections and assistants and it's located in Fürth at Innovation in Learning Institute.

STADON is based on the open source learning management system ILYAS and is used as a teaching and learning platform of the FAU since 2007.

Altogether, STADON has about 80,000 users and about 98 percent of the students use STADON on a regular basis.

In addition to students, lecturers, also students from other universities and guest students use STADON.

Every year about 80,000 exams, so purely electronic exams take place in the university's zip pools.

And these exams are organized by our team.

The second question is, what do you use STADON for?

There are two important factors, which are organization and learning.

In terms of organization, it is crucial that the platform is online, so you are flexible in terms of time and place.

On the one hand, STADON is used for course registration and group allocation.

And on the other hand, for communication and interaction between students and lecturers.

The second important factor, as already mentioned, is learning.

In STADON, you will find learning materials for download.

It is used for preparation and follow up of your seminars for teamwork in groups and as a pleasant side effect, it also improves your own media competence.

We from the STADON team support users in learning, supervising, organizing and activating and testing.

So I will now briefly introduce you to the registration process.

And afterwards, we will introduce you to your dashboard and personal workspace, the online repository, how to join courses and what content you will find.

So first, registration.

You can find your IDM ID or your user ID and the activation password in the information letter of the students office.

And you can find the IDM identifier also on your FAU card.
