Prof. Dr. David B. Blumenthal is Head of the Biomedical Network Science Lab and member of the Department of Artificial Intelligence in Biomedical Engineering at FAU. Professor Blumenthal and his Team do research on AI models and algorithms to understand molecular mechanisms that drive complex diseases. The professorship is funded as part of the High-Tech Agenda Bavaria (HTA). With this program, the government of the Free State of Bavaria is creating, among other things, 1,000 new professorships in key areas of the future such as artificial intelligence, clean tech and aerospace, thus strengthening Bavaria's leading position in research and teaching and promoting the development of new ideas and the latest technologies as well as their implementation in practice. #hightechagendabayern

Prof. Dr. David B. Blumenthal ist Leiter des Biomedical Network Science Lab und Mitglied des Department of Artificial Intelligence in der Biomedizinischen Technik an der FAU. Professor Blumenthal und sein Team forschen an KI-Modellen und Algorithmen, um die molekularen Mechanismen zu verstehen, die komplexe Krankheiten auslösen.
