I would like to welcome you to the second day of the teaching in Bavaria.

The starting point was in 2006, when I was already a student.

We had the idea to bring together the five medical faculties in the teaching

at the Biederstein at Professor Ring.

We made an application and the ministry supported us very generously for three

promotion periods.

And of course I am very happy that you, Mr. Hörlein, are here to convince yourself

that the money has not been wasted, but that something important has grown.

The ministry is trying to provide the appropriate medical facilities for the discussion

on the medical pact.

The university presidents have addressed this issue.

As Vice President for Teaching, I am very happy that with the support of the

Kompetenznetzwerk Medizin Lehre Bayern innovative projects in medical education

are being implemented and that there is also an intensive collegial exchange

on the level of the Bavarian Studies Decanate.

We have put in an incredible amount of effort into new teaching technologies,

simulations, patients, actors, hospitals, e-learning, we have just seen it,

we have introduced the media to teaching.

And, I am looking at Mr. Fischer, we have achieved something that no one

would have thought possible.

After four or five years of the most difficult fight, we have in the end in consensus

a national, competency-based learning target catalogue for medicine and

dental medicine.
