In this lecture we continue the discussion of performance modelling and optimization for simple stencil schemes. We discuss the impact of different parallelization strategies on the Layer Condition and the related code balances. Finally we discuss a wavefront parallelization approach  for a Gauss-Seidel type stencil update scheme ressolving the method's intrinsic data dependencies.
